I think pink is beginning to be my favorite color these days. I have committed myself, my family and Fancie Fannies to finding a cure, supporting people recently diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Recently I donated 50 hand painted keychains to raise money for The Walk To Empower for the Mother’s Day walk on May 9, 2010.

After spending the day with all the women who came to get free mamograms from Umbrella Plumbing, I was truly aware of the need to fight against this disease. Cancer is ugly and painful and scary. My mother, Joan Wedow, died 12 yrs ago from Breast Cancer that went into her bones. That day changed my life forever and put me in a denial type state about Breast Cancer. I didn’t know if I wanted to find out my risks or to get a mamogram myself. But after this day, I am sure we all should take whatever precaution we can to fight this ugly thing that turned my world pink!
My prayers are with all those who fought and are fighting cancer and pray that the Lord comforts them and their families while they fight for their lives. Please pray along with me for them as well. Not just Breast cancer but cancer in general!
What do you plan on doing to help fight this disease??
